Our 2021 Annual Meeting will be held virtually on October 28, from 7:00-8:00pm. The meeting will be held via Zoom, and we hope you will join us! Join us for a Virtual Book Club! This year our Annual Meeting will feature three local authors who will be sharing their books with us. All of the authors have books available in the Dallas Public Library system, so you will be able to read your favorites after the meeting ends!

Fowzia Karimi is the author of Above Us the Milky Way (read description here). She is a writer and an illustrator. Her work explores the correspondence on the page between the written and the visual arts. Her illuminated debut novel Above Us the Milky Way received the 2020 Balcones Fiction Prize, the Foreward Reviews Editor’s Choice Prize, the WLT Fiction Discovery Prize, and the PubWest Bronze Book Design Award. She is also recipient of The Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award.


Victoria Scott is the acclaimed author of nine novels including FIRE & FLOOD, THE COLLECTOR, and TITANS. Victoria’s books have been YALSA-nominated, have appeared on the prestigious Spirit of Texas Reading Program, and have been included on Bank Street College of Education's Best Books of the Year list.
